RRR Article of the Week:
Disclaimer: What I wrote may be misinterpreted or offend someone, so please proceed with caution.
When I started my personal finance journey, I imagined a time when I would get wealthy. However, in the back of my head, I ask myself, why can't everyone get rich at the same time?
Assuming everyone gets the same opportunities, how will people proceed? Then, I remembered that people differ in values, tendencies, and goals.
Here are four reasons I often think about.
#1. Some Still Have a Scarcity Mindset.
The scarcity mindset is a way of thinking that focuses on what one doesn't have and the limited availability of resources.
This mindset alone is one reason people don't try harder than they can to escape their current standing. They assume that no amount of hard work would put them in a better place because they lack something - money, time, or support - so why even try?
Since a scarcity mindset can tie people up, they won't be able to escape their status unless they change their perspective.
#2. They Don't Want to Take Risks and Lose.
People are innately risk-averse, resulting in a more significant risk in the future.
People can limit their potential by avoiding different types of risks related to their personal finances. For instance, some people avoid investing because the fear of losing outweighs their desire to gain more money. So they would instead put their money somewhere safe.
So, unless you take a risk, the journey towards financial freedom is more challenging.
#3. Some People Love Making Bad Money Decisions.
We make money decisions daily, and some people seem to love making bad decisions.
The problem is often not about math but about emotions, particularly fear and greed. Sometimes, people are in a rush to get rich, making them poorer in the process. Other times, they just didn't think it through, like joining scammy "investments."
It's crucial to understand ourselves better and control our emotions because we make the decisions.
#4. Some People Just Don't Want to Be Rich.
Lastly, a group of people just doesn't want to be rich. That's it. No drama.
They are more concerned with things other than money. They are content with what they have, and everything they own and will own is a blessing. It's a refreshing mindset, which only shows why people will never be rich at the same time.
Regardless of the reason behind our desire for financial abundance, we should always strive to be honest, never take advantage of others, and just do the hard work.

RRR Investment Update
Investing Insight:
The crypto market has been hot recently, given a positive outlook on the market. At the same time, there are still those who get wiped out.
Please remember that all investments have their inherent risk. You just have to find those whose risks you can tolerate. Don’t fall into the hype, especially when everyone is already talking about it.
Dividend Portfolio Update:
We already received our first three dividend payments for December, leaving just one more for 2024. However, there’s still one coming in January.
I’m also currently fully allocated. Hopefully, the dividend stocks and REITs that I hold will start moving soon.
REIT Updates:
$VREIT still leads the pack with 9.73%. It also reached its new ATH with P1.86 per share last week, followed by $DDMPR and $FILRT. $AREIT and $PREIT remain the only REITs below 6%.
Overall, there’s not a lot of news for REITs. Hopefully, we can see more REIT IPOs next year because the last one ($PREIT) took place two years ago.
AREIT - Aug. 13, 2020
DDMPR - March 24, 2021
FILRT - Aug. 12, 2021
RCR - Sept. 14, 2021
MREIT - Oct. 1, 2021
CREIT - Feb. 22, 2022
VREIT - June 15, 2022
PREIT - Dec. 15, 2022
DISCLAIMER: This is not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold. I am only sharing this to show the difference between each REIT’s current dividend yield.
